For George Braque, which is a renowned artist from France during 20th Century.From 1907 to 1914, he and Pablo Picasso created the visual art style of cubism( The famous artist from Spain). This French painter was born seven months after Picasso in the 1870s when he was in a small town near Paris. for Braque's family, mainly his father and grandfather, are also painters. Braque was taught to be in tune with sports and music. At the age of 15, he studied at le havre College and was an apprentice in Paris at the age of 17. As an apprentice, Braque received education in artistic techniques, such as imitating wood grain, which later played an important role in his works (Braque). Braque's paintings are basically composed of still life. His art movement include Cubism, Analytical Cubism, Fauvism and Modern art.

For this artwork, He broke the traditional rule of perspective: without a central vanishing point, the foreground cannot be distinguished from the background. However, the most important thing is to simplify the houses and trees in the painting into the most primitive geometric shapes, and the contradiction is to use shadows to create depth in these shapes. Although there are still some arguments about whether this is the first cubist landscape painting or just the predecessor of the true cubist, these elements form the basis of cubist style.
